PHOTOGRAPHY IN SOCIAL MEDIA


There's probably nothing in this world that doesn't have content or isn't even mentioned on the Internet. Nowadays, social media is huge form of communication where everyone can share their content, and it wasn't gonna be any different with photography.




                          
   Different examples of social media that involve pictures
Social media is, in some cases, the best place to spread your own work. That is exactly photography's case. Getting to be known is hard, and social media platforms make that path much easier, which explains why professionals share their work with the world through them.

 Here are some examples of the spread of photography through social media:
MATTJKOMO


 Matt Komo is a well-known photographer on Instagram. He posts there his photos and videos, in which he plays with angles and lighting. He has over 130.000 followers and is known for his realistic edits and risky photos.



Komo does also own a youtube channel, where he posts videos in which he combines incredible landscape and views footage and v-logs explaining his daily activities.



JORDAN MATTER

Jordan Matter is a dance photographer who likes to take risks in order to make the dancer and the photograph stand out. He does photoshoots in the middle of the road, the railway or the beach. He likes using lines to create a harmony between the dancer and the background. His Instagram account has over 146.000 followers.





Apart from having creative, original and breath-taking content, these two photographers teach us how important it is to take risks in order to stand out and be the best in what you do.

9.11.01 "the falling man" by Richard Drew On the terrible and disastrous day the world trade center towers fell, Richard Drew was able to capture a still moment. Putting behind the catastrophe that had just happened, he took a simple yet complex photo. A man seconds before his death, free falling into fatality and in complete control of his mind. The picture went viral, it was all over the newspapers and magazines, besides the picture of the explosion the media showed this image, the falling man. Drew knew this was an artistic masterpiece with so much more meaning behind it, yet he could not believe how perfect the shot ended.
