Mario Testino is a creative director, guest editor, museum founder, art collector/collaborator and entrepreneur best known for his big influence in fashion and portrait photography. He has been published internationally in magazines such as Vanity Fair and Vogue, working with with high end brands like Gucci, Burberry, Versace and Lancôme.

He was born in Lima, Peru in 1954 and moved to London in 1976. There he worked as an apprentice with John Vickers and Paul Nugent, the ones who introduced him to the field of photography. He started shooting with the inspiration that photography masters documented the society of their times. Since living in Britain, he wanted to "emulate the english".

His biggest and most memorable shoot was the one with Princess Diana for Vanity Fair in 1997. He described it as "one of my greatest life experiences", he also mentioned that it was not only the experience itself but all the doors that were opened for him after. From that point on he started photographing royal families across Europe, including the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
