What I find appealing about looking through the lens
What I look through the lens
Ana Sofía Piña de los Reyes
Cameras have been a part of my life since I have memory.
Well, I could say even before, as there are some of my childhood moments, recorded on photos that I don´t recall.

I consider myself and artist, thus an art lover. Although I´m not a professional photographer, what I love about the matter is that unlike other types of art, you don't need to be a master or even practise the subject to capture a beautiful moment. It's one of the easiest and fastest ways to create art and I think anybody could be able to do so.

| That's probably the worst filter I could've chosen, but I still see the magical moment I captured at the short age of 14. (Museo Soumaya- Mexico City) |
Art can rise in your hands in matter of a second with just a click and that is absolutely amazing.
Nowadays humanity has reached such technological advance, that if then not anybody could be a photographer because of the resolution, now it doesn't even represent an excuse as some smartphones take pictures with better resolution than some cameras.
Photography is not only something that I find artistically beautiful, but also a very useful tool.
It's let us see history through decades without having to imagine it for ourselves and that's magical.
I also like transforming the picture. I believe that's what makes it mine and giving it my touch, even though some people cannot tell the difference, is something I feel passionate about.
